Development of Mobile Cockpit for Live Operation of 220 kV Transmission Line

Based on the analysis of the disadvantages of the current methods used in 220kV transmission line equipotential live operation, such as manual climbing ladder, electric lifting device, manual line walking or riding an electric flying car, a new type of manned automatic up and down transmission wire operation device called mobile cockpit is proposed. This paper introduces the overall structure and the structural design of the main components of the mobile cockpit, including the design of automatic up and down line structure, line walking mechanism, equipotential device, cockpit layout, expounds the working principle of the mechanism, and proves the feasibility of the design scheme. The mobile cockpit can not only carry people along the overhead line to the operation point for the operator to complete line maintenance, but also has the functions of climbing and crossing the shockproof hammers functions, which can meet the needs of 220kV transmission line double split wire live operation.
