Research on Fault Location Method for Distribution Networks Based on Traveling Waves
摘要
Research on fault location method for distribution network based on traveling wave information from multiple measurement points in the environment. Firstly, arrange traveling wave measurement points at the ends of each branch line in the distribution network to detect the initial arrival time of the traveling wave; Secondly, a fault branch identification matrix is constructed based on the structure of the distribution network to determine the fault branches. Redundant information from non-fault areas is used to optimize the traveling wave velocity using the least squares method, and the fault distance is calculated using the least squares method; Finally, a distribution network model was built using PSCAD/EMTDC electromagnetic transient simulation software to simulate different transition resistances and fault types during faults. The simulation results show that the method studied in this article can achieve high-precision fault ranging for different fault occurrence situations, and the ranging error meets the preset accuracy requirements.
