CT for Electrophysiology Applications
摘要
The modern diagnosis and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders relies on a broad array of multimodal cardiovascular imaging with a strong emphasis on cardiac CT, which may identify individuals at risk for arrhythmias and sudden cardiac death. CT images are the basis of the electro-anatomical voltage maps that serve as the anatomical roadmap for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including catheter ablation. In addition, CT is a valuable tool for procedural planning, diagnosing procedural complications, and predicting patient response to therapies. CT also has a high diagnostic accuracy for ruling out left atrial appendage thrombus prior to cardioversion of atrial fibrillation or flutter.
