Research Design

This chapter elucidates the research design of this study. It begins by briefly presenting the research purpose and questions in Sect. 3.1, and situating the study within an appropriate research paradigm as displayed in Sect. 3.2. Section 3.3 reports the pilot study, which was set up to test the major research instruments. Section 3.4 gives a description of the sources of data. Then a detailed account and justification of the instruments, the data collection procedures and the data analysis methods used in the main study is presented in Sect. 3.5. The ethical issues are discussed in Sect. 3.6.
