Solar Rotation and Activity

The topic of this last chapter of the book is the complex relation between solar rotation and solar activity. First, representative results of observations will be presented: solar rotation before and during the Maunder minimum, cycle-related variations of the solar rotation from the nineteenth century till present, and indications of the north–south asymmetry of the solar rotation.
