Theory and Approaches of Public Health Risk Assessment for Emerging Infectious Diseases
摘要
Emerging infectious diseases indicate infectious disease that is newly emerging in a population, or that is rapidly increasing in incidence or rapidly expanding in endemic areas. Less than half way into the twenty-first century, human beings have already experienced several epidemics of emerging infectious diseases. The sudden, frequent, and high incidence of emerging infectious diseases not only seriously affect social stability and economic development, but also pose a great threat to human health. Timely and effective risk assessment of emerging infectious diseases will help to prevent and control the epidemic, minimize the public health harms caused by the epidemic of emerging infectious diseases, maintain social stability, and ensure public health.
