Overview of Public Health Risk

Public health can be understood as an organized social endeavor that requires the combined efforts of multiple disciplines. It may also be seen as a form of technology and practical activity. The purpose and core of public health are the health of the populace. With the progress of the times and scientific advancements, our understanding of public health continually deepens. Public health risk refers to the likelihood and consequences of events that may adversely affect public health. With the acceleration of urbanization, increasing frequency of human mobility, frequent occurrences of natural disasters and epidemics, and the emergence of new pathogens, public health and population health are facing increasingly serious threats. Public health risks, especially on acute public health emergencies, have become a new challenge worldwide.
