The use of virtual reality (VR) gaming to aid in the recovery of paraplegics is examined in this abstract. The spinal cord at the base of the neck, specifically at the C6 level, is affected by injury. This can lead to loss of sensation or function in any part of the body from the top of the rib cage downward, involving all four limbs. The project aims to develop a virtual reality gaming system that stimulates the upper limb sensorimotor areas in patients who have suffered from C6-Cervical partial spinal cord injuries during the post-rehabilitation phase. Conventional physical therapy approaches frequently struggle to keep patients interested and encourage regular involvement. Virtual reality gaming is an innovative method that provides more incentive, engaging experiences, and personalized workouts. Patients can execute therapeutic movements in a virtual environment thanks to the combination of motion-sensing devices with VR technology, which may help with muscle reactivation and the recovery of motor function. This abstract looks at the possible advantages, difficulties, and factors to take into account when using virtual reality gaming to help paralyzed patients recover. It emphasizes the need for more study and clinical studies to determine the efficacy and long-term effects of this approach. Virtual reality gaming has the potential to transform physical rehabilitation and enhance the quality of life for people who are paralyzed as long as technology keeps developing.
