A Derived Quadratic Boost Dual Input converter is suggested in this paper for automotive applications. The converter that is being proposed can handle more than two sources. This converter enables flexible sharing of power among the input sources. It is also feasible to monitor when different energy input sources charge or discharge the energy storage systems. Two inductors are used in the design, and the converter's operating modes are determined depending on the charged and discharged energy storage components. A prototype is built to validate the converter's performance and tested in an experimental setting with a modest power rating of 50 W, confirming the simulation results.

摘要

A Derived Quadratic Boost Dual Input converter is suggested in this paper for automotive applications. The converter that is being proposed can handle more than two sources. This converter enables flexible sharing of power among the input sources. It is also feasible to monitor when different energy input sources charge or discharge the energy storage systems. Two inductors are used in the design, and the converter's operating modes are determined depending on the charged and discharged energy storage components. A prototype is built to validate the converter's performance and tested in an experimental setting with a modest power rating of 50 W, confirming the simulation results.
