Beyond the Code: Bridging Ethical and Practical Gaps in Data Privacy for AI-Enhanced Healthcare Systems
摘要
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionize healthcare in the current digital environment by providing hitherto unheard-of gains in patient care, operational efficiency, and predictive analytics. Big data connected to health is expanding along with AI's role in healthcare, which presents both immense potential and equally intimidating obstacles in terms of data protection, security, and ethical use. This thorough study attempts to find a balance between protecting patient data and improving AI applications by navigating the intricate interactions between these urgent concerns. The study closely examines the current frameworks, laws, and regulations governing data privacy and security in AI-driven healthcare applications. It does this by drawing on thorough literature reviews, real-world case analyses, expert interviews, and data breach occurrences. To comprehend the importance of big data and machine learning in healthcare, we look at how these technologies are affecting all facets of contemporary life. For example, AI can provide personalized medication, predict epidemics, and enhance the delivery of healthcare services, much like how Netflix customizes content and Amazon maximizes commerce. These advantages, meanwhile, depend on sensitive data being handled securely and morally. Our research reveals a substantial disconnect between current policy frameworks and practical implementations, highlighting the necessity of a reliable, standardized model that can satisfy the competing demands of data privacy and utility. It is anticipated that the study would provide insightful information to legislators, medical professionals, and AI developers, strengthening the AI-enhanced healthcare ecosystem and making it safer and more effective. Our goal is to provide a roadmap for future research that will prioritize data privacy and security while harmonizing the integration of AI in healthcare through this comprehensive examination.
