It is true to say that the technique of animated character designing is a vital component of demonstrating visual storytelling and emotion evocation. If we talk about earlier times in the context of the traditional methods, character designs for animation was a manual- and computer-based process. If we see in recent scenarios, advances in artificial intelligence (AI) have led to a paradigm shift in the way that characters are designed for animation. AI-powered character design tools can streamline the design process, enhance realism and complexity, and enable the creation of unique and expressive characters. This study aimed to examine and compare the visual quality of animation characters through artificial intelligence (AI) against characters designed manually or through computer-aided processes. This research study examined how AI-generated animation characters compare to computer-generated or manually created animated characters in terms of their visual appeal, fluidity of motion, and alignment with narrative, adherence to design principles, and expressiveness. To accomplish these goals, we conducted quantitative analyses using SPSS software. The results of the study revealed that AI-generated animation characters had significantly lower mean scores as compared to manually or through computer-aided methods. The findings of this research have implications for industry professionals and researchers who are working in the field of character animation and artificial intelligence. These findings can help these designers and creative artists to understand the latest trends in this field of animation and designing and to develop new techniques for creating more proficient animated characters.

摘要
