Environmental Drivers of Vector-Borne Disease Utilizing Geospatial Techniques in Jaipur

The present chapter examines environmental variables causing vector-borne illnesses in Jaipur. It also examines geospatial technology for illness understanding and treatment. Disease transmission is impacted by climate change, land use, water management, human behaviour, wildlife reservoirs, and socioeconomic factors. Preventive and control measures require knowledge of pathogen transmission and disease vector life cycles. This study analyses Dengue transmission in Jaipur, focusing on vector behaviour and climate. These vectors’ life cycles are affected by temperature, rainfall, and humidity. The importance of climate-informed public health policy is highlighted by seasonal changes and extreme weather events. Land use and urbanization affect vector habitats and human density, especially in cities. Vector habitat preferences and climate’s impact on their ecological dynamics are crucial to understanding vector-borne diseases, as this study shows. Environmental changes like deforestation and climate change can modify disease patterns. Thus, integrated disease control and prevention measures are needed. Geospatial methods and integrated prevention and control tactics are highlighted in this thorough research of environmental elements that affect vector-borne illness transmission.
