A Survey on Navigation Assistance System for Visually Impaired and Blind People

This paper contains a survey on blind navigation systems which are based on various technologies and methods like machine learning, image processing, embedded systems, research, tools, and sensors/instruments which are very useful to blind people for their day-to-day lives. The paper emphasizes the importance of human touch in these technologies with accurate and reliable guidance, a sense of comfort, and empathy for the user. The review explores different approaches to providing navigation assistance including GPS maps technology, wearable devices, and indoor as well as outdoor navigation. The paper also discusses the working and discussion of used technology for each navigation assistance method and compares the used methods or models of particular technology with the overview. By combining technology and innovation with human touch and empathy, we can create navigation assistance systems that help the lives of visually impaired individuals.
