Surveying Document Management System: The Impact of User Experience Proficiency

This research addresses the pressing challenge of managing escalating digital information in small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through effective Document Management Systems (DMSs). Despite the pivotal role of DMS in streamlining document processes, a notable usability gap exists between contemporary DMS interfaces and those in consumer applications. Current DMS interfaces, driven by functional requirements, hinder positive user experiences and joy during document management tasks. This study aims to identify strategies to integrate user-centric design, aligning DMS interfaces with consumer application standards. By overcoming functional-centric limitations, the research aims to enhance document management efficiency, user acceptance, and enthusiasm within SMEs.
