Soundsign (A Universal Language for All Senses)
摘要
Addressing the global issue of multisensory impairment impacting an estimated 720 million people, this paper introduces the SoundSign—a technology-driven solution leveraging Morse code for inclusive communication. Utilizing LED lights, an Arduino Uno microcontroller, a buzzer, and a vibrator, the system visually, audibly, and tactically presents Morse code signals. Importantly, information is showcased on the serial monitor. The diverse accessibility of Morse code surpasses conventional methods like Braille and sign language. The incorporation of Morse code's effectiveness and adaptability with Arduino technology in the Soundsign, promises to empower individuals with hearing loss, fostering connectivity, and mitigating communication barriers. This work makes a significant contribution and by harmonizing sound and touch, SoundSign not only shatters communication barriers but also champions inclusivity, marking a transformative stride toward accessibility for all. Its seamless simplicity and adaptability promise to reshape the landscape of communication, standing out as a beacon of innovation and understanding.
