Farmer-Based Smart Vegetable Vending Machine for the Modern Era
摘要
Smart vending machines, using IoT-based technology, dispense snacks, dairy products, and vegetables automatically, streamlining transactions and saving customers’ time and energy human. With a focus on promoting the agricultural ecosystem in India, these machines leverage online payments and IoT capabilities. Traditionally, people visit markets and farmers engage in direct sales, but this method is time-consuming for small farmers. The move to an online platform has improved accessibility, allowing customers to buy vegetables directly. However, concerns about pesticide use in organic farming have led to suspicion and higher costs. To address these challenges, vending machine solutions, cost-saving automation has been developed in cooperation with farmers. This approach benefits both consumers and larger farmers by providing access to affordable, fresh vegetables. Integrated with IoT and machine learning, these machines not only enhance operational efficiency but also capture valuable data for improved outcomes and increased revenue. Transactions are facilitated through card-based or cashless systems, utilizing GSM control and Arduino technology. Customers can locate vending machines and place orders, and suppliers can assess stock availability using IoT-based technologies. Prototypes and simulation software validate the machinery, highlighting the pivotal role of IoT in supporting customer preferences and enabling profit analysis. Although many vending machines operate without IoT, its integration is proving vital in optimizing operations and machine learning in the industry.
