Etherdocs: Student Document Management Using Ethereum Blockchain and IPFS
摘要
The increasing number of counterfeit academic documents poses a significant challenge to the verification process for educational institutions, employers, and other stakeholders. Unlike existing solutions reliant on centralized data stores such as RDMS or object-oriented storage, Etherdocs leverages the interplanetary file system (IPFS) and Ethereum blockchain to establish a decentralized and tamper-proof infrastructure. This research paper explores the design and implementation of Etherdocs as a secure and tamper-proof system for issuing and verifying academic documents. The platform uses blockchain technology, including Ethereum smart contracts, IPFS, and cryptography, to ensure the authenticity and integrity of documents. Through a comprehensive analysis of Etherdocs’ architecture, features, and potential impact, this research highlights the benefits and prospects of this innovative solution in revolutionizing the certification process in the education sector.
