Investigating Current Adaptation (and Mitigation) in the Adriatic: The Methodological Foundations
摘要
This chapter presents an original methodology designed to rigorously analyze existing strategies to help institutions select the most effective efforts for integrating climate change adaptation and mitigation measures into their planning processes. The methodology emphasizes best practices, information exchange, and social learning to facilitate robust strategy implementation. This work is primarily aimed at public authorities and the scientific community, offering an analytical and replicable approach to review current strategies and serving as a starting point for planning responses in terms of adaptation and mitigation within a specific area. The chapter is structured as follows. Section 4.1 outlines the criteria considered to collect the information. Section 4.2 provides a description of the standardized format used to gather and analyze information from all collected strategies. Section 4.3 describes the timing and coordination for data collection.
