Measurement Scales
摘要
Data treatment is usually realized for results of measurement in cardinal scale. In textile metrology, some results are still in nominal or ordinal scales due to the use of subjective evaluation of complex characteristics, such as the appearance, hand, or comfort of textile products or intermediates. The basic properties of random variables in basic measurement scales are presented. The overview of the corresponding statistical characteristics used in data treatment and the correct statistical processing of the results are discussed.
