Basics of Probability and Statistics
摘要
The essential concepts of probability and mathematical statistics are presented in a consistent form without detailed derivations. Some parts are also oriented to the description of special characteristics of random variables used in the textile metrology and in the engineering statistics. The practical limitations of standard methods based on the assumptions of normality and independence are shown. This chapter is written as a collection of topics supporting the easier readability of subsequent chapters.
