Stainless Steel Reinforcement in Concrete Structures: A Review Based on Cost, Composition and Moment Curvature of RC Beam
摘要
Stainless steel rebar is now a day’s seen as solution to combat chloride induced damage in RC structure. This research focuses on comparing cost and mechanical properties of various stainless steel rebar grades commonly available in rebar form Austenitic (304, 304L, 316, 316L) and duplex (2205, 2304, 2001) variants. Theoretical Moment curvature is also shown for different rebar which takes into account nonlinear stress strain behavior of stainless steel rebar and confined concrete. Moment at yield and ultimate moment for different stainless-steel grades and conventional carbon steel is shown along with curvature for comparative purpose.
