AI-Powered Personalised Learning in Primary Education: A Design Thinking Perspective
摘要
Education is one of the necessities of every individual. Socioeconomic status and learning disabilities strongly affect primary education attendance in India, contributing to disparities in dropout rates. Policy efforts, such as the Right to Education Act, aim to counter these challenges, but schools have yet to find a systematic way to combat the issue. Learning disabilities, while presenting challenges to traditional educational systems, also offer positive aspects such as creativity and adaptability; fostering hyper fixation can aid in identity formation. Students’ learning styles influence engagement, highlighting the need for personalised approaches in school curriculum. The research aims to formulate a design solution by comprehensively examining factors impacting school dropout rates, revealing a complex interplay of influences and identifying the study gap. Inculcating technology, including AI, VR and gamified methods through a systemic framework. It would support interventions for neurodivergent and neurotypical children. The Design Proposal will be a unique personalised learning system that connects smart board technology with the student’s device to create an individual learning system, challenging conventional literacy paradigms for broader frameworks and diverse learning pathways fitting individual students’ requirements. Application of the design thinking methods proposes that education systems adopt a flexible and individualised strategy to transition all children back into learning and promote equal and accessible education.
