Prior Studies

This chapter explores prior studies related to the macroeconomic impact of cloud computing, summarizing their discussions, results, and directions. Here, I cover a range of examinations of cloud computing from various stakeholder perspectives, including industry, government, academia, and users. I also look specifically at studies employing DSGE-based economic analysis in general and studies that have used DSGE to analyze the impact of the advancement of cloud computing on GDPGDP in particular. I investigate studies that have used DGSE to analyze the relationship between an increasing oligopoly in the cloud computing market and social welfare. In so doing, I identified gaps in the literature that this book fills as well as its novel contributions to the field.
