Endoscopic Applications in Ocular Trauma
摘要
All over the world, ocular trauma is a major cause of visual morbidity. Managing trauma is extremely challenging due to a variety of complex clinical presentations. One of the common presentations is a treatable posterior segment pathology with poor anterior segment visibility. This can be overcome by either usage of a keratoprosthesis or the endoscopic approach. Endoscopy helps avoid the complex need of a keratoprosthesis-trained cornea surgeon and the need for corneal graft tissue, and this is a more efficient approach. The nuances of this procedure shall be discussed in this chapter.
