In the current scenario, noise exposure has serious effects on the well-being of an individual, so it becomes necessary to monitor the noise levels and take necessary actions to keep them within the permissible limits. In the industrial city of Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, people have experienced serious noise-related issues in recent years as a result of increased traffic and industrial activity. To determine how the pattern is evolving and the current situation in the city, noise levels in the city on working and non-working days were measured. For working days, noise levels were found in a range from 55.2 dBA in the sewage treatment plant (STP) area to 81.3 dBA in the Indian Sugar and General Engineering Corporation (ISGEC) area, while on non-working days, they ranged from 52.3 dBA in the sewage treatment plant (STP) area to 75.9 dBA in Indian Sugar and General Engineering Corporation (ISGEC) area.
