Air distribution is extensively used for thermal consolation. The distribution of air is necessarily non-uniform with a few subzones inside the occupied region of the cooler than the others. It differentiates the thermal choices of occupants. Non-uniform air distribution sometimes results into pot thermal consolation which makes discomfort to the end user. This gives motivation to proposed study and experimentation on uniform air distribution to enhance the pleasure of thermal choices. This study investigated the effectiveness and temperature variation within a common close test room using the air discharged through the circular tube type duct. The experiment is conducted with a conditioned air, which was discharged through the duct maintained at various vertical locations inside the test room space. The air velocity at the outlet of duct and the temperature were noted at the various test points marked inside the room at a distance of 1 m from each. Thirty thermocouples are fixed on a vertical ladder of three metre. Each thermocouple is placed at a distance of 10 cm. These thermocouples measure the temperature readings in present experiments. The present study gives the comparative analysis of temperature distribution in test room along the outlet of conditioned air duct position. The optimised location of the duct is obtained within side the closed room.

摘要
