Indonesia, the leading crude palm oil (CPO) producer, faces challenges in its supply chain compared to Malaysia. Issues include low revealed comparative advantage, inefficiency, subpar quality, and transparency. Integrating Industry 4.0 is necessary to address these, requiring digital transformation for a smarter supply chain. The objective of this study is to identify barriers to this transformation in the CPO supply chain within an Industry 4.0 context through a systematic literature review. The PRISMA flowchart guides the research, revealing 22 barriers across seven categories. While offering opportunities for further investigation, this study acknowledges its limitations.
