Biometric Based Cryptography Key Generation Using Human Face Without Any Data Storage
摘要
A novel technique is proposed for generating unique biometric keys for encryption and decryption to protect our digital documents from hackers or intruders. In this technique, the unique key is generated by biometric feature extraction, i.e., human face, this crypto key is called FaceKEY. FaceKEY is a unique key, whose value is not similar to other’s FaceKEY. At first, the human face is captured and then some important facial points are detected from the whole face using the Active Appearance Model. Some important facial landmark distance ratios from the facial points are calculated using the Euclidian distances of those points. Finally, the convolution coding principle is applied to those ratios to generate a unique codeword. This codeword is converted into a secret key, i.e., FaceKEY which helps in the encryption and decryption process. The proposed method has been tested on various human face images and its accuracy is quite satisfactory than other state-of-the-art algorithms. Since FaceKEY is a unique key for each user, it is free from any data storage.
