摘要

The requirement for fresh water for drinking perspective and healthy living of aquatic species is a great challenge worldwide. Spinel nano ferrites (SNFs) comprising magnetic materials of composite metal oxides consisting of oxides of iron with broad structural formula A2+Fe23+O4 (where M = Mg2+,Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+, Fe2+, Mn2+). Excellent magnetic properties, great explicit active surface area, tunable shape and sizes with enormous stability are the major physiochemical properties of SNFs. High absorption coefficient and prompted kinetics are essential for water purification that can be exhibited by SNFs for their enormous multifunctional properties, modesty, and capabilities of magnetic separation. In this article, SNFs performance for absorption of aqueous contaminants such as ions of heavy metals and organic pollutants, bacterial and fungus micro organisms are vividly manifested. Systematic discussions are entitled about their shape, sizes, sorption performance, and temperature for annealing, classification, and adsorbate-adsorbent interaction. Synthesis of SNFs using a physio-chemical process including a brief review of the ecological consequences of green synthesis are supplemented.
