An Advanced Approach of MOF-Mediated Microplastic Degradation After Confiscating Microplastics by MOFs
摘要
Microplastic pollution poses a substantial risk to aquatic ecosystems and human health, necessitating innovative strategies for its removal and degradation. The study proposes an advanced approach utilizing Metal–Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for the efficient confiscation and subsequent degradation of microplastics. Through a comprehensive review of relevant literature, this paper discusses the characteristics of MOFs tailored for microplastic adsorption. Moreover, it explores the mechanisms underlying MOF-mediated microplastic capture and degradation, highlighting the role of interaction sites within the MOF. The proposed method offers a promising path for lessening the environmental impact of microplastic pollution.
