Space–time coding (STC) is the combination of spatial and temporal transmission signals, which is essentially combining spatial and temporal two-dimensional processing. Space–time coding introduces temporal and spatial correlation in the signals transmitted by different antennas to provide diversity and coding gains for the receiver without sacrificing bandwidth.
