Promoting RMB Internationalization Under the RCEP Framework

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), which China has actively promoted, is the most extensive free trade agreement (FTA) to date. It should play a more important role in integrating regional factor resources and restructuring industrial and supply chains. Regional cooperation can impact currency internationalization through openness, scale, regulation, allocation effects, and siphon effects.
