Nanocellulose Isolation Techniques

Nanocellulose extraction has been of great interest to researchers over the years. Nanocellulose, derived from cellulose from different sources, has obtained significant attention because of its exceptional mechanical, optical, and barrier properties. This chapter provides an overview of lignocellulosic biomass for nanocellulose isolation, along with a discussion of common extraction methods and general applications. The focus of this chapter is primarily on description and explanation of nanocellulose extraction techniques which are commonly used in recent research. Additionally, a forward-looking perspective on the future of nanocellulose is presented. The aim is to offer insights and guidance for the efficient extraction of nanocellulose.
