Diagnosis and Management of Infections in Diabetes Mellitus
摘要
Diabetic patients are at an elevated risk of infections due to multiple reasons—both directly related to sugar control and indirectly, due to the long-term complications. There are specific infectious syndromes that are disproportionately noted in this group, and understanding the guidelines with a multi-disciplinary team approach is essential to improving outcomes. Focus on preventive measures is key to minimising morbidity and mortality related to infections.
