Safety Risk Management of Low Voltage Power Distribution Line Network
摘要
Any society's diverse activity directly or indirectly depends on electricity, and any interruption to its regular supply might cause significant financial loss. Different natural disaster poses failure challenges to the infrastructure that supports the energy supply system. Distribution network energy management is required to preserve dependability and service continuity. The forces acting on a pole are from: the vertical loading (comprising dead weight of conductors, cross-arms, insulators, etc.) and the horizontal loading due to wind pressure on conductors and pole itself. All these forces tend to collapse the pole toward the ground. The failure point of the product could be determined based on the following analysis viz., moment of inertia and deflection due to vertical load, bending moment and wind loading on the cross-arm using CATIA V5 software tools. Also, the pin insulator applicable to the 11 kV distribution line has been practically tested. The main objective is to calculate the load sustaining capacity of the undertaken structure as per cite specific circumstances. This study suggests robustness evaluation of the distribution line pole and its supporting structure.
