Optimal Placement of the Renewables in a Distribution System Using a Novel Performance Indices for Minimizing the Power Loss

摘要

Using of renewables in the distribution system is very essential to cope up with the energy demand throughout the globe. Placement of the renewables is very challenging issue in the distribution system. In this work a novel performance index has been proposed for the optimal placement of the renewables in a distribution system. The performance index is comprising of a Novel Voltage stability index (VSI) and Line capacity indices of the line (LCI). Time varying particle swarm optimization (TVPSO) is used for finding the optimal bus location for placing the renewables using this proposed performance indices. The performance of this optimization technique compared with the conventional techniques shows a better performance. Standard IEEE 22 bus is considered for this proposal.
