摘要

The main objective of this paper is to develop a state-of-the-art equation for evaluating the voltage stability indices (VSIs) of an active radial distribution network (RDN). This will help to identify the bus in the distribution system that is more sensitive to a voltage collapse. A standard benchmark distribution system (IEEE 33) is used to study the efficacy of the proposed method. Considering unidirectional flow of power, the VSIs for different buses in the system under nominal or base load condition are evaluated. On identification of the weakest bus in the system, different combination of resources such as small hydro and biomass generators are connected at the weakest bus to cater the load. The resulting hybrid model is simulated in HOMER to study the corresponding effect on the bus VSIs of the RDN. The presence of surplus power, if any, can be fed to the grid, thereby leading to a possibility of bidirectional power flow in the system.
