An SVM Scheme for Impedance Source Principal Derived 2L-Topologies

Space vector based PWM sequences for impedance source principal derived two level inverter topologies is presented in this paper. A simplified procedure to use null states as a shoot through states for the continuous and discontinuous PWM sequences is developed. Suitability of advanced bus clamping based sequences for impedance source inverter are discovered. These sequences are analyzed in context of maximum boost control technique (MBC) and observed reduced switching transitions compared to other existing techniques. The switching state selection procedure to achieve symmetrical output voltage is highlighted. Analytical equations are developed to ease the understanding of shoot through insertion process. Finally, to demonstrate the validity of proposed approach, simulation results are presented.
