Epilogue
摘要
Near the end of the last century the brain was seen as the last frontier of the human body, and there was a strong motivation to elucidate the mechanisms of the brain because it would advance information technology and science. However, this enthusiasm has gradually faded away. Rapid progress in other branches of the biological and medical sciences, such as genetics, immunology, regenerative medicine, has attracted the attention of young scientists. Nevertheless, there are still many unknowns in the relationship between cerebral blood flow and brain activity. What we understand now is only the tip of an iceberg floating in the ocean. The author hopes that this book will help inspire young scientists to reassess cerebral blood flow as a tool for mining the vast unknown treasure of the brain.
