Twitter Profile Analyzer: A Tool for Combating Hate Speech and Promoting Positive Online Communication

Twitter has become a platform which allows people to share their thoughts and opinions with a wide audience. However, the open and anonymous nature of platforms like Twitter has led to an increase in hate speech and offensive content. Offensive material impairs online communication and makes cyberspaces unsafe and unwelcoming. This study introduces the “Twitter Profile Analyzer”, a tool to address this issue. The app evaluates Twitter profiles’ “hate score” using machine learning to determine if their tweets include hate speech. The tool flags hate speech to encourage online inclusivity. Our research model has 95.18% accuracy on our testing dataset.
