摘要

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is classified as one of the neurological disorders with various alterations, including neuronal and behavioral damages. TBI could be induced by disruption of the normal physiology of the brain following trauma. As a result, various symptoms such as emotional, physical, and cognitive problems take place. Polyphenols, extracted from various natural matrices such as plants, could play a significant role in regulating ion channels, influencing various cellular processes, and then being used as a potential treatment for TBI. In addition, nanomaterials associated with polyphenols with their strong loading capacity could play an important role in TBI treatment.
