Carbon Nanotube-Polymer Nanocomposites: Spectroscopic, Physiochemical, Electrochemical, and Recent Applications

摘要

Carbon nanotube-polymer nanocomposites have emerged as a promising class of materials due to their exceptional properties and wide range of applications. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of these nanocomposites’ spectroscopic, physiochemical, and electrochemical characteristics and their recent applications. The chapter discusses using various spectroscopic techniques, such as Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, to elucidate the nanocomposites’ chemical composition and structural properties. The physicochemical properties, including morphology, are explored using scanning electron microscopy. The electrochemical performance of the nanocomposites is investigated using cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, highlighting their potential for energy storage and sensing applications. Furthermore, the chapter presents recent advancements in using carbon nanotube-polymer nanocomposites in fields such as electronics, biomedical engineering, and environmental remediation. The insights provided in this chapter contribute to a deeper understanding of these versatile materials and their potential to revolutionize various technological domains.
