Carbon Nanotube-Polymer Nanocomposites: Morphological and Magnetic Properties

Polymer nanocomposites (PNC) are materials that combine a polymer matrix with nanoparticles of various shapes and sizes. Among the different types of nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted considerable interest due to their outstanding mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. CNTs can enhance the performance of polymers by modifying their morphology and magnetic behavior at the nanoscale level. This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of CNT-polymer nanocomposites’ morphological and magnetic properties. It describes the various characterization techniques used to investigate these properties, such as scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry. It also discusses the effects of different processing methods and parameters on the structure and arrangement of CNTs and polymers in the nanocomposites. The chapter aims to better understand the design and applications of these advanced materials in various fields.
