Carbon nanotube-based polymer nanocomposites have emerged as a promising class of materials for aerospace applications due to their exceptional mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties. This chapter explores the potential of these nanocomposites in addressing the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry, such as high strength-to-weight ratio, enhanced thermal stability, and improved electromagnetic shielding. The mechanical performance of carbon nanotube-polymer nanocomposites is explored in detail, highlighting their enhanced tensile strength, modulus, and fracture toughness compared to conventional polymer composites. This chapter examines the potential of carbon nanotube-based polymer nanocomposites in aerospace applications. It discusses the overview of carbon nanotubes and their enhanced mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties. The chapter highlights their suitability for aerospace systems and advancements in structural components, aircraft interiors, and satellite systems.
