Carbon Nanotube-Polymer Nanocomposites for Biomedical Applications
摘要
Biocompatible polymers play a crucial role in creating nanocomposites, which have revolutionized the field of medical sciences by introducing innovative materials for the next generation. These nanocomposites have enormous promise for creating extremely effective smart materials. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have a unique mix of mechanical, optical, and electrical qualities that have stimulated research into various applications, including biomedical applications. Unfortunately, because there are still unanswered concerns about their possible toxicity when present as free particles, research is now concentrated on their immobilization on substrates for biosensors or interface tuning, as loads in materials for nanocomposite materials where they enhance both mechanical and electrical properties, or even for direct use as scaffolds for biomedical applications. In this chapter, we discussed CNT-based Nanocomposite for biomedical applications.
