Carbon Nanotube-Fluoropolymer Nanocomposites for Dielectric Applications
摘要
In this chapter, we have presented the recent development of the application of carbon nanotube (CNT)-fluoropolymer (FP) nanocomposites for dielectric applications. Though we have discussed a lot about various CNT-infused FP nanocomposites, we have limited our discussion of the FP to electroactive poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF), which has tremendous application in the dielectric field due to its unifying diverse properties. In the first phase of the chapter, we figured out the properties of the CNT-infused FP nanocomposite. In the later phase, we presented their application based on the extracted properties with suitable examples. We have started the flow of the work with the state-of-the-art application of the CNT-infused FP in various fields such as electronics, defense, medicine, EMI shielding, memory, printed circuit board, dielectric coating, sensors, actuators, and many other recent modern applications with their physical justification based on suitable example. Besides this, we have discussed in detail the dispersion challenge associated with the fabrication of nanocomposite and its possible solution how to overcome it for extracting novel properties for the application.
