摘要

India is bestowed with a diverse coastal region that secured 3rd place in Global Fisheries and 2nd place in Aquaculture. Fisheries contribute 1.07% of GDP and 5.15% of Agriculture GDP. If it is utilized efficiently, it will contribute greatly to the economy and pollution management system. But there is no correct method of disposal of waste which leads to environmental issues. Using fish waste directly as a fertilizer has some limitations, because they will become malodorous to attract rodents and other animals. Tablets and oils derived from these waste products may not align with cultural and religious preferences. Some countries restrict meat by-products considering food safety and quality. Hence, the present paper analyses the fish waste management, processing, and value addition in the sense of feeding to a floating drum biogas plant with various agro residues as a co-digesting medium. In this sense, we discuss the measures to improve its performance as a sustainable biomass. The slurry from the bio-digester has been analyzed with respect to N, P, K content and treated properly for utilization as manure for eco-farming. Highlights of the Study:
