Ice Adhesion on Lubricious Surfaces

This chapter firstly introduces the ice adhesion mechanism of lubricated surfaces and the reduction effect for ice adhesion force. On the one hand, the ice adhesion mechanism of liquid lubricated surfaces and the coupling effect of interfacial lubricant and porous structure are introduced. On the other hand, solid super-lubricated surfaces with the ultra-low friction coefficient under the action of micro-nanostructure are introduced. Secondly, the influence factors on the ice adhesion of the lubricated surface are discussed, including the surface morphology, the selection of lubricating additives, the wettability and the construction method. Thirdly, the failure forms of liquid lubricated surface and solid lubricated surface are revealed, and the corresponding failure mechanisms are discussed respectively. Finally, the current challenges and future development prospects of lubricated surfaces are discussed.
