Concluding Remarks
摘要
Occurrence of genetic disorders and congenital anomalies are now making a proportionally greater contribution to perinatal mortality and ill health in childhood in many places in the world both in the most developed areas and in low- and middle-income countries. Monitoring and surveillance systems for the cases of genetic and birth defects are now being performed in more than 50 communities across the globe, mostly located in the high-income and developed countries.
