Distributed Variable Impulsive Consensus of Multi-agent Systems

In this chapter, the consensus of nonlinear multi-agent systems (MASs) with variable impulsive protocol is studied. To decrease the communication wastage, a novel distributed impulsive protocol is designed. Compared with the common impulsive consensus strategy with fixed impulsive instants, the variable impulsive consensus method proposed in this chapter is more flexible and reliable in practical. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and some inequality techniques, several novel impulsive consensus conditions are obtained to realize the consensus of MASs. In addition, the variable impulsive protocol is extend to the intermittent impulsive method. Finally, some necessary simulations are shown to validate the effectiveness of theoretical results in this chapter.
